For some reason this never posted, so this is a late afternoon post!
I cannot believe it's been so long since I last posted. Well I can proudly say that I am now finally done with exams, I received my grades (all good), and I took a whole week to just relax before I started work. I enjoyed having free time to hang out with friends and went on LOTS of adventures! I really can't wait to share my stories/new found bits of advice with y'all!
For today's post I really wanted to share a great experience that I was able to take part of. For you readers, it should be known that this post does focus on my faith so please be respectful. I titled my blog, "WhatMissLoves" for a reason...my faith is the number one "Love" in my life. I hope you enjoy the post!

Backtracking to May 6th
On Friday, May 6th, I woke up early to volunteer as a chaperone for my friend's church. We attended a Christian function called Aquire the Fire that was aimed at the high school age. I was responsible for three amazing girls (8th, 10th, 11th) and what they showed me Friday and Saturday was amazing.
I'll go more in depth on these wonderful girls for tomorrow's post but for today I really want to talk about this event, Aquire the Fire.
I went with two youth groups based out of Virginia in two buses filled with kids. The kids ranged from middle school to senior high school students and each one of them had such a passion that week for knowing Christ better. It took us a few hours to reach our destination, Baltimore.
The Mariner arena was our home (minus sleeping) for Friday night and all day Saturday.
To put it all into perspective, this is the inside of the arena. The picture unfortunately makes the area look really small because it cuts out a majority of the seats that continue along the sides. Just imagine it filled on the bottom, 1st and most of the 2nd tier.
There were Christian comedians who offered some comic relief in between the "serious" times. This guy was wonderful!
We also had some wonderful speakers and actors that acted out dramas that went along with the topics. The speakers especially did such a great job addressing God's word and how we need to constantly refer to it everyday.
There were also some really great singers. The guy singing above is my favorite. He's in a band named Leeland...soooo good! We actually ran into him in Baltimore before he played...it was a very good day. On Saturday night, our youth groups left the conference late because worship was over two hours long! It was amazing.
I know many of you may not be that religious, some of you may not even believe in God at all. However, I still encourage all of you this summer to find a church/bible study/young adult retreat...something (!) that will help you to become a little closer to God. Learn about who he really is and how much he actually loves us.
To end this post today, here's a short playlist of a few songs I've been playing each day before I go to sleep. Make sure you listen to the words in each. Worship music is a form of prayer/praise to God.
Have a great day everyone!

That is so cool!! Congrats on finishing up!!
Wow, that sounds like an incredible event! I can't wait to hear more!
You really had a great time, I'm so glad! It reminds of of when I attended One Cry at Times Square Church back in 2010. It was EPIC!
What a great suggestion- people really should pick up a Bible and read it regardless of their religious beliefs. Our country was founded on the principles presented in The Bible.
If love that you're so open about your beliefs. So many people just don't talk about it for fear of insulting others. Faith is a big part of our lives and we shouldn't be ashamed of that.
Cool. I love conferences, and this one looks like a great time.
