Spring Closet Cleaning

Today my Rue La La Lilly Pulitzer purchases came in. I have to say that it felt like Christmas when I saw that cardboard box waiting in front of my bedroom door. Below is the cardboard box that my purchases came in. The order came in less than a week (yay!) and I was very impressed that the company included all of my purchases in the same box!

Once I took them out of the packaging, I tried them on and really liked each one! The green and pink striped dress was both my boyfriend and I's favorite. It fit great and was so bright and colorful!


However, when I was about to hang up my new pieces, I realized that I had no room in my closet. From then on spring closet cleaning began.

On the left, these are all the hangers from the clothing that I was able to clear out from my closet! Yay for finally going through it!

 You can't quite tell, but there are piles and piles of clothes stacked on top of my ottoman. I took out most of my long-sleeved shirts, thick fabrics, and winter colors.

I'm hoping to go through these clothes again when I go home and figure out which ones I can donate. Many of these pieces I haven't worn in over a year, for sure.

Here's the finished product. Unfortunately it's still almost bursting at the seams but it's so much better organized! From left to right I have light jackets and button-ups, cardigans, skirts and dresses, tank tops and camis, and all the way on the right are short-sleeve shirts.

I love the new organized closet but I'm thinking that a few more brightly colored pieces are needed! My wallet better watch out!
